WHAT WE DO

The Sertoma Club of St Augustine is a 501(3)C nonprofit organization that’s 100% volunteer run and we are completely dependent upon donations and fundraisers that go directly to helping those within our beloved St Johns County Community only. Our mission is simple, to get immediate help to those less fortunate, without a complicated qualification process in order to get them the assistance they deserve in an expeditious manner.

Members of the St. Augustine Sertoma Club have the opportunity to provide SERvice TO MAnkind in many ways. Our fundraising events generate revenue that is used to support individuals and charitable organizations in our area. In addition to its many fundraising events, Sertoma rises to meet the needs of the community on more personal levels as well. Below is a partial list of charitable organizations to which we have provided assistance. Our club members enjoy the privilege of affecting many people’s lives positively.

Sertoma has taken the Hastings O.U.R. Center under its wings. In addition to providing computers and school supplies for the center, Sertoma has sponsored Friday night dinners, underwritten summer camp excursions, provided musical instruments for  their music room, built picnic tables, computer work stations and activity centers for their classrooms.

Each year we hold a handful of wonderful fundraising events like our annual golf tournament, pickle-ball tournament, and of course the wonderful fish fry at our Sandbar Santa event.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Each year, the Sertoma Club of St Augustine offers tuition to various summer camps and schools where kids can enjoy hands on activities like field trips, games and crafts, concurrently learning about science, engineering, math, technology and art. Unfortunately, many of St. Johns County’s most promising students are not able to attend due to financial hardship.
